Short-term trading with Oscar

Stealth: while you were busy replying numerous times on this thread between 10:10 and 10:30, Oscar was sending out flash updates to exit the market for +7 S&P points :D

Everyone realizes Oscar will soon start a paid subscription service, meanwhile they have a chance to kick the tires for free. They will be informed buyers if they choose to subscribe at that time. I really don't understand your obvious problem.

Quote from Stealth Trader:

I don't know what his angle is, but time will tell, no doubt. What put him in my crosshair was the incessant spamming in numerous trading forums from his goon platoon under the guise that they are just fellow traders trying to pass the word, when in fact, they seem to be in bed with him.

Furthermore, when asked outright if he is going to eventually charge for the calls, he gives a song and dance routine only to end the spun verbiage with "enjoy it for now." Asked if he is a broker, he sidesteps the question with "call me." When someone with an obvious motive displays cryptic behavior, it raises suspicion. He could honestly answer legitimate questions without revealing any vital information if he so chose. It's called integrity.

The question of why he was unable to make his mortgage payments while trading goes unanswered, yet he wants others to follow his calls under the pretense of "do your own homework," trailed by, "follow my calls and I will make you money."

Could be oscar retains ties to the floor and has access to the orders, thus his pinning the low or high within a tick or two, which would explain the consistant "typos." As for his S/R levels, their is no magic there, as anyone well versed in the markets can predict those with consistant accuracy as well. It very well could be that his daily analysis is not his at all, but comes from someone else's work. The fact remains, that after 25 years on the floor, the best he was able to do was "make a living." And since leaving the floor, he was unable to do even that. Speaks volumes.

Oscar is quite charismatic, and that will be his ultimate salvation. As such, there will be an endless stream of koolaid drinkers coming to his rescue believing he can do no wrong, regardless of what he does. Most likely, these lemmings have blown out their savings trying to trade on their own, and oscar is their newfound savior. They are the ones with delusions of grandeur that they can quit their day job, trade for a few hours a day, and then spend the rest of their time on the golf course living the dream. This seems to be oscar's target audience.

In summary, I predict he's just another snake oil salesman in a
new shiny sharkskin suit. Let's see how he does when the markets turn choppy. Are we supposed to believe, that given the tens of thousands before him, many with Ph.D.'s, that he somehow is the one who found the holy grail? Marketing at it's finest.

That was a good read Stealth Trader. You make some valid points.

The low on March 9th was 1410 according to http://futures.tradingcharts.com/chart/ES/67.

Date:03/09/2007 O=1417.25 H=1426.25 L=1410.00 C=1417.50 V=1429906 OI:901957

I realized what a poser "Oscar" was when he claimed on a flash update on his site on March 9th that he had gone long the ES at 1413.50 before the 10 handle jump after NFP number.

The only problem for Oscar was that the ES never traded down to 1413.50. It only traded down to 1413.75. And then only 20+ contracts traded at that level. The buy points he set out in his youtube video for that day was between 1413.5 and 1411.5. The ES never traded down to the buy point.

I pointed this BS out in a comment I posted to his video, and then later the flash update was changed to say he was long at 1413.75. I don't believe that for 1 minute. The ES never traded down to his buy point, and very few contracts even traded at his claimed buy point of 1413.75. He tried to look like a genius after the big run-up.

Another nice day of trading....

another winning day......

What???? At least four major moves worth 7-10 points each on todays chart that Stevie Wonder could see, and your hero trades what...........one move and then cowers into the fetal position before it even hits its target. But then again, I guess that's what separates those who can't from those who can.

Keep dreaming plow-boy....it seems to be all you have going for you.

An extremely misguided perception with no evidential basis in fact.

I could say you're a lying ass and leave it at that, but then you'd probably evade that fact by saying I was just calling you names. Therefore, do show where I posted between the times you so boldly stated, or expose yourself for the liar you've shown yourself to be. And while you were ASSuming I was not trading during that ASSumed time frame, I note YOU were posting here during regular trading hours. Ooops!!!

"Informed buyers?" THAT'S funny!!!!!! :D

re: "I really don't understand"

Obviously, indeed.

When did stating the obvious become a "problem?"

Just stating the obvious, sir. :D
