Obviously I've triggered you by my reference to Sossnoff and TT crew long term "haters" such as yourself ... will just say I think your "facts" are (and have been) fairly well debated in the past and I don't have any special insight into the validity of any of them. Nor do I believe you have any particular special (e.g. accurate) insights (though i could be wrong).

I don't regard myself as a Sosnoff 'hater' ... despite in a hissy fit he arranged for me to banned from this forum for nearly 4 years ... I have frequently stated that I admire his business savvy, energy, ambition and belief in young people ... but disagree strongly with his transparency when it comes to trading ... as there is no evidence whatsoever that he has ever made a profit as a retail trader ... and his continued refusal to disclose should raise red flags for those who seem to have blind faith in a guy whose wealth was derived from selling his business ... and not as a retail trader

OTM strangles have better risk adjusted returns, even if it's absolute is lower?

When I simulated covered calls on SPY using HV, OTM covered calls had lower absolute returns but went down less in down market.

Sosnoff's research doesn't measure Risk-Adjusted Returns so not the issue
... he just prefers the higher win rate ... so more 'winners' to talk about

I think they keep this risk in check by trading small, I mean, not using more than 5% of your buying power.

If you ever listen to Sosnoff you quickly realise that you have to ... watch what he does ... and not what he says

Although he frequently repeats the phrase "trade small, trade often" ... which is pretty good when you own a brokerage ... he either doesn't believe this ( and just luring the gullible in ) ... or he doesn't believe it applies to him ( which would be consistent with his God complex, and the rules only apply to little people, not him )

For example, yesterday Sosnoff stated "this is the first day in a long time we haven't had a giant loser" ... which begs the question ... how do you get 'giant losers' ... if you are trading 'small' ?
