Short of Workers and Consumers, China Abandons One-Child Policy

It is probably the ratio of old to young that matters, not absolute numbers. China has to sustain a population of 1.5B people or grow it. Scary.

That's an interesting question. But isn't the obvious choice anything to do with reproductive science? How about the chinese P&G?
 
We need the Chinese equivalent of Harry Dent to tell us where to invest. Or maybe we can live without him. Good inference on the P&G. Diapers yes. Who sells infant formula there? Nestle? Or the like. Is there a ToysrUs? It seems like a strong anomaly on the face of it. But I think we need one more piece of info--will it bring a higher birthrate? Most economies which go from agrarian to industrial suffer big declines in birthrate. It also makes me wonder whether all the pollution is catching up to them.--Swimr
