you got me there, i meant holding an unhedged(naked) position overnight on the underlying stock. Nothing to do with naked shorting.
 
Rumor mill still going tonight. KDB deal back on now for control , no S. Korean offical says talks have still not resumed. Weird!

By the first rumor it looked like KDB was to pay 6B for control.

they early announce earnings today (intention is to calm down investorts, it wasn't scheduled for today)...

so, that's why market's gone up so heavy... together with some news about the koreans
but if their earnings are really really bad,
it could come down again...
but personally i think shorts will be really really fucked today in LEH...

there you go op :p. now you are in the sickening position of not knowing if you close in before or after the report. since you are stuck I lot, I bet you will wait, then you will need to use a limit order in a rising stock in the pre-market, talk about pain
