C c_verm Jan 8, 2004 #1 I am wondering if there is a way to chart the amount of short interest on a stock or an index? Is it possible to track how many shares are short on a given stock?

W waggie945 Jan 8, 2004 #2 You can obtain the raw data out of the Wall Street Journal of Barrons each month when it comes out. Check www.nyse.com for the dates. I am rather dubious that this data can be readily/easily formatted into a charting application. You would literally have to do it by hand, me tinks.
