I hope you guys understand that everybody who had FB shares and was entitled to drop them in the market was made a personal proposition to keep the shares and setup an option trade that in worse case scenario lost a few % but with a potential profit down the line.

They even made personal deals to some people to give a free credit and finance the whole setup for free if they wanted money right now, so nobody sold shares.

That is the reason retail got sucked into the short of the year, to only lose money on their shorts.

I have this info from some IT guys in the industry.
