short eur/short usd

it aint pretty

wouldn't it be nice if it was

very depressing to see your account balance back there where it was four days ago, especially after working so hard to get it to a new account high

at anyrate, I need to pick up some long gbp.usd and some short usd.cad before I can move on with this death march of short eur
 
I'm seriously thinking about looking for a new market

If you had been doing what I am doing now, three years ago, you would have made a fortune

so I am doing it right, just three years late

thing is, I like forex

it was very good to me in 2012

but I am starting to get that wandering eye

I already went through this one time, trading es in 2000, after all the easy money had been made
 
if I ever get out of this trade alive

I am just going to go raise chickens

Because they act like you are their friend as long as you are making money

but they turn on you if you start losing

that short eur.aud is the one you have to look out for

scalped a little

sold some at 2681 and covered at 2672

but all that did was ease the pain

and the computer is fixated on FIFO

so it thinks I took a loss
 
ah, this trading is nothing but constant aggravation

20 million posts on ET

and all they talk about is how to take a loss

nobody ever talks about how to take a profit

it is universally agreed that if you never take a loss, you will go broke

but nobody wants to admit that if you never take a profit, eventually you will be rich
 
what a horrible day it has been for me

guys who are just simply short eur.usd are making out just fine, as a matter of fact, they are doing swimmingly well

I am use to these days when I was spread, and both sides were moving against you

but this directional is making me lose my mind

short eur

short usd

only a sadistic diabolical pervert could have designed a better trade for me

yesterday I lost a weeks worth of profits

today I'm losing a months worth of profits

and I am really small, that's the only good thing, I still have a lot of dry powder
 
I've about had it with this directional trading

that's a young man's game

thinking you can guess better than someone else

Sunday night, I'm going back to spreading

not sure how I will do it

but this averaging down on directional is a sure fire way to destruction

Like the man said, "The old guys you still see around are almost always spreaders."
