Ideally, if I had few mills I can sit on cash (3-4% return) and have 1-2M for trading (fun or extra cash). To make 10% per year consistently is possible, however, to make 100% consistently over 15-20y is a challenge.

Sure. I'm getting a bit impatient ... when my leverage reaches new high. Well, I wait for Dec expiry because I need to offload some margin and receive bid-ask spread.

your time is limited, time costs money and inflation is killer, :-).
 
today, +1k

I went short dow jones / dax spread y'day at various levels.
I missed opportunity to close around 5790 in the morning.
Closed dax at 5740-5750, dow 10960-80 later on.

I feel it is quite dangerous go long/short straightaway.
