Short DAX at 7740

Merkel wins in Germany. Should be equity markets positive and if tax cuts are being implemented this should give Germans a lot of confidence for the future.

Germans are sitting on huge savings. The savings rate since the beginning of the year exploded to 18,9 % !

If only one part of these savings find their way into the real economy, it will give the country a boost !

I don't think there will be any tax cuts.
The best thing for the country would be a 25% flat tax, but this would never be possible in a country where people are only jelous on the few who are simply better.
More than 12% for the left ones (Lafontaine) is a desaster.

Though I am german, I do not think re-election of Merkel is really hot news for the international markets.
In other words: There were no news.

Also quite clear program trading activities today (pump and dump).

Btw: meanwhile the futures are following since around 9:40 CET and I am long.

As I look at it:

I think it is not the fact that market considers it as positive but the fact that it was expected negative result.

2-party (possible) coalition is sign of future possible political stability and CDU staying in power means that they can implement what they started.

If you want to keep high default living standard you ahve to tax people either directly or indirectly. Nothing will change there.

I'm long dax but i think markets started to go down a bit. There is a trendline that needs to be broken and another major one around 500pts below.
(sorry, no picture, it is straghtforward)
