Short DAX at 7740

lol.

funny, i got all nervous about good US black friday #'s (that and the desire to NOT have another overnight position turn into a month decimating fiasco), so i bailed early at a minimal gain, out a limit at 6874, got 2 ticks away and i cursed myself as it dropped over 100 points. had moved the limit to 6869 and left it knowing there was zero chance of execution. woke up, saw the ES @ 1183 and didn't even turn on my machine as i KNEW i was never executed.

anyway, clicked on the daily chart on yahoo when i saw the DAX was only down 45. executed @ 10.01 this morning. go figure. now trying to decide if i should take the 35 points and have a zero worry weekend or hope the idiots driving the DAX ever upward step aside. nothing rational about the DAX these days so i am leaning towards being a pussy and bailing. this thing is fucking crazy.

despite fears that retail sales will prompt a monday rally, i just couldn't cover this time. so, short over the weekend and expecting to get bent over yet again.

trading the DAX for me is like a bad relationship- i hate it, know i should just walk away, but i keep coming back to it.

I hope you holded trough morning rally and participate on dax "recovery".
I went long and just as we had abyss jump I closed my short position in DAX, and end up long Ftse, took small loss, crap.

yeah, kinda. i bailed about 1/2 hour ago at 6812- so a 'win', but i pulled an order to double down near the top based on nothing more than emotion. to explain: the added leverage would not have been too bad BUT i knew i'd have trouble being disciplined with a stop if it went tits up, so i pulled it. main reason: non-market related- having an ok month and knew i couldn't take the pysche damage of having a run to 7000 turn an ok month into another losing month. shame because, of course, i'd be up nicely in the ad and would prolly have at lease kept 1 or 2 contracts; having taken a nice gain on the initial position. as it is, i'm a puss on the sideline now.

You did well on sideline, I guess.
Looking at the US close I wonder how EU open tomorrow.

7k you say is what you earned this month? That would be enough for me when consistent, :-), 30% tax, 2-3k life, the remainder back into trading.

No. Stopped -25 points loss.

But yesterday was a nice -123 point day. :)

And by the way : have you bought already your 7200.00 calls ?

PUT / CALL ratios at 3.19, 2.76 and 2.29. Much too negative for a sell off.

Conclusion : expect short squeeze de luxe.

Hum, EUR/ USD support 1.2992.

well, I was kinf of loosing money past 1-2 weeks.
Slowly but consistently ... today is ok, 40 points up.

I didn't buy calls when they were cheap.
As I write it they get cheaper ...
