Damn Lucrum that was a long boring article. I don't understand you guys getting a stiffy over a gun. I grew up kinda redneck, lived in the country, killed rattlesnakes, fights in the cotton field, played with the country girls and hunted and fished. We had guns but it wasn't a religious thing like it is with you guys, we just had em. I understand getting excited about girls, money, power and cars, but guns ? To each his own I guess, but like the pushy local Baptists around here it gets old listening to the preaching.

I don't feel the need to have an assault weapon and carry a hand-gun. Usually guys who do that are paranoid, insecure, or have small penises and minds. Sometimes they do it because they are ineffectual in every-day life and carrying makes them feel empowered. Yeah, maybe they're a failure in life but by-golly they can still be something to be feared. Just by owning enough of the right type of guns. I suspect the above explains why the resident gun-nuts feel the way they do about their substitute penises.

I look on having guns as an insurance policy. Does having a big insurance policy on my house mean I am secretly gay or worried about my dick?

Gun ownership is also a symbol of responsibility, of taking responsibility for your family's safety and refusing to be a victim. I suppose liberals find those values troubling as well.

nobody here hs said take away all guns. i have about 13 guns. i plan to keep them.
there is a universe of room between no guns and what we have now for rational thinking people to find ways to eliminate at least some carnage.

I've used the insurance analogy before. Preparedness is not the same thing as paranoia.
