No doubt Carlin is dead on right, just look at who our president is - we are the laughing joke to the rest of the world.
 
Its the people who voted for him. Glad to know its only some not an entire country. But I don't want to digress into politics, too depressing...

Sure, but some places have relatively lower standards and I am afraid the US has slipped to the bottom of industrialized nations. Hard to find another industrialized country with more dumb fuxxs than currently in the US. As the adage goes "some always succeed in fuxxing it up for the rest". Sadly those idiots pull the averages down by a lot.

Yeah, the US might be the richest country but:

-America's healthcare system is crap compared to European countries
-Americans have an average student debt of $30k while European countries have free universities

It's actually considered okay to go into heavy debt in your teens to attend school. Some of the culture in the US is unhealthy.
