Horribly bad interview, and yet, Shkreli can't hide to display all his greed, hypocrisy, and lies. I don't even find him intelligent and I don't get how some invested money with him. He is definitely slick and gluey but he does not appear all too smart, rather stupid in that he is entirely ruled and controlled by his pride and arrogance. You still don't seem to understand the case. Shkreli is not accused here for not repaying one investor the initial investment plus some.

The accusations are investor deceit among many others as outlined before. Lies like this to defraud and lie to investors:

She testified that in January 2011, shortly before he invested $300,000 of her own money in MSMB Capital, Shkreli during a dinner in Manhattan told her the hedge fund had between $40 million and $50 million under managment.

In fact, prosecutors have said in an indictment, two months before that MSMB Capital had just $700 on hand, as a result of Shkreli's ongoing trading losses.

You try and dismiss my post by claiming that the numbers I've provided don't add up, when they are the "numbers" that Ms Hassan has testified to. Once you realize that, you then try and dismiss it by making out that I don't seem to understand the case, and pull up some "alleged" conversation between Hassan and Shkreli that took place at a dinner in 2011- Which has nothing to do with the numbers I provided for Ms Hassan's investment returns. I think it's pretty clear that you're the one who doesn't understand what the prosecution must to do get a guilty verdict.

You conflate numbers. That stock she received appreciated in value and that she ended up generating a return on her investment has nothing to do with this case. He intentionally defrauded investors and shareholders when he multiple times emptied the coffers of one company and moved remaining funds into another company without shareholder and investor consent. That is a criminal violation and he did it intentionally. That is an established fact. Even Madoff did not intentionally want to make investors worse off. That there are a few investors in Shkreli's case that were at the end not worse off adds zero value to his defense when he made multiple investors worse off and defrauded them and diverted funds illegally to other entities. Even if all investors were better off he still acted with criminal intent by illegally diverting funds from one entity into another.

In any case he is actually just a small time crook. Look at his miserable little apartment and that tells you all that he is anything but a self made millionaire. Even my apartment in a much more expensive district looks larger and way better. I am pretty sure he will leave this entire episode behind him without a single cent in his pocket.

But isn't that the problem?why do get idiots in the US so much attention? Why does sensationalism attract people that much? Is it that their own lives are that boring? The Kardashians or whatever they are called (never watcher a single show just hear them mentioned everywhere) are one such example. Since when has stupidity and the sheer drive for self actualization of others robbed people off their sleep and free time? The only explanation I live with is that people are inherently lazy and that improving one's own life is harder than just sitting and watching TV or browsing Facebook. A pity really.
