Judge: “Is it true that you owe these people a million dollars?
Shkreli: “Yes, it’s true."
Judge: “Then, why don’t you just pay them back?"
Shkreli: “Because it wouldn’t be true anymore."

I wonder how Brachman achieved that.. he has this reputation as the lawyer of last resort (if you can pay him) and on this one at least he owned up to it to the last cent. i'd really love to know how... Unless we actually are opining on this with material misstatements and then a lot of people in the media should pay for it.3 out of 8 is not guilty as sin. The sentencing guidelines can be very lenient, he could get no jail time because money was not lost...
Even if he gets jail time, I doubt it will be longer than 1 year...
The dumbass jury said not guilty on count #7 which was the heart of the case (as his laywer said) and it wasn't proven that he robbed his company to pay the investors (which he clearly did).
Shkreli is a modern day folk hero.
But isn't that the problem?why do get idiots in the US so much attention? Why does sensationalism attract people that much? Is it that their own lives are that boring? The Kardashians or whatever they are called (never watcher a single show just hear them mentioned everywhere) are one such example. Since when has stupidity and the sheer drive for self actualization of others robbed people off their sleep and free time? The only explanation I live with is that people are inherently lazy and that improving one's own life is harder than just sitting and watching TV or browsing Facebook. A pity really.

With all due respect... leave Pink Floyd outta this. You don't need to watch the "show" about the Kardashians. The fact that you mention them implies you're aware of them...most likely via the news outlets.
I've actually met a few people that have never heard of the "Kardashians", "Tom Brady, "Beyonce", "Pink Floyd", "Charles Manson", "John Wayne Gacy", "Sumatra, Indonesia Tsunami".
Yet, I've never heard of anybody losing sleep over them or over some historical event.![]()
