Share CFD trading hours

It appears from the link below that trading hours for share CFDs at IB is 9:30 - 16:00 ET.

However, TWS seems to accept orders for share CFDs in the US pre market?

Maybe the orders will not execute until the market opens at 9:30?

My guess is that you can see the order status in TWS with the color code on the left of it in the order window. It would not surprise me that the color code for "order accepted by IB, not active" is displayed until the exchange has opened, after which the color will change to "order active". Or something similar. I'm not an active user of TWS so I'm not sure what those exact colors are.

The color was green. But I tried Friday in the aftermarket, where I was not able to execute CFD share trades unfortunately.

That is strange. According to IB's overview does green indicate that an order is active at the exchange: https://guides.interactivebrokers.c...imeactivitymonitoring/order_status_colors.htm

I think it was active in the sense that it would execute once the market opened 9:30.
