Setups that I found on ET that have made me a consistently profitable trader

agree 100%

The information is here, one must only do the research and create their own method... I learned a tremendous amount after months of reviewing past threads. ..

, while conducting the research not only did I learn the how, but most importantly the why and am far better off for it. There exist a myriad of different strategies and approaches. The most effective is that which works for you...

I for one am grateful to the many contributors who have posted over the years, ....
amen to that.
ps. and beware of post passing as 'advice' with hidden agenda.

No online forum period, including but not limited to ET will ever teach anyone the basics on how to trade. Here's why:

#1: Newbie has no idea where to begin. Scalping? Position trading? Buy & hold? SCT? SPM? FX? XYZ?

#2: Newbie has no idea how to self-teach.

School of hard knocks, aka trial & error will eventually work. Just know that you better pull a big wallet out for that one, as the months & years roll by while stuck in the mud.

#4: Newbies will seldom develop an overall approach with an edge AND MOST IMPORTANTLY learn to manage themselves, the biggest block of our learning curve by far.

Trying to self-learn where to start, how to hone an approach, how to manage it thru all three separate market trends (up, down and sideways) while learning to manage all inner emotions is a herculean task. Good luck with that.

As for finding a base core approach here, maybe it exists. Best of luck with that.

This profession is hard, damn hard to master. I know two ES traders that push 100-lot or bigger size and make six - seven figures annually. Both of them admit it took about ten years from their beginning to consistent success trading with size.

One thing I know for an absolute fact: gleaning a couple tidbits here from ET and then reading a few books ain't preparing anyone for anything except consistent donation to pro traders' accounts. No one has to spend a dime purchasing education from anyone else... but everyone will most assuredly pay for their knowledge from the market herself.

Beware of those price tags on that. It is by far the steepest cost of all. [/B]
I must agree with you as well. 90% of what I have gleaned from ET and other forums, were lessons in discipline, risk management and psychology. It was reading posts such as yours which described the risks, dangers and obstacles to overcome which have provided me the most guidance. I for one am astutely aware of my limitations, and therefore currently position trade while developing my skills and swing trading strategies. For those who have the ability to self teach, the gems found in ET can help bind the knowledge found in various books and other sources... One never stops learning, what is imperative is having perspective, applying the knowledge and being aware of one's limitations...

Blue skies and tailwinds,

So, why not make it easy for ET members and have a thread that consolidates all that great wisdom and real edge setups for easy reference.

0two50in4point5 has got to be one of the laziest and smartest newbies here. Gotta give him credit for trying.

I wish I could tell you guys but it makes me too much money.

LOL Still under 30 minutes and the Elite Troll Squad hasn't launched an assult.
I'm impressed.:D

So hopefully you now see 0t what an idiotic idea you had by creating this thread. There's actually some good info here, but keep in mind that NONE of it came from you or one of your other trading zoo spammer aliases. Your posts here and all over ET continue to be worthless. Just like the room you continue to spam for.

One day you'll realize that to be a real trader that can thrive through different market conditions you need to be self sufficient and not rely on some run of the mill chat room. The zoo, like many other rooms, will eventually collapse. When that happens (not if) you need to be able to trade for yourself, which of course will not be possible if the zoo is your trading crutch.

You probably won't grasp this idea now b/c you are obviously just here to spam for the zoo, but when the day comes and there's no more trading zoo, you'll quickly realize the flaw in your logic.

He's only here to spam for the zoo rocko. There's no sincere desire to learn, just to spam for the zoo.

That's it.

I'm locking on to the GPS emitter hidden in the lockbox under your sofa. Should be able to guide a JDAM right down your chimney in order to destroy all sensitive material. Hold on... it's coming...
