Seriously? SBF released on 250 million

The entire bail wasn't posted. His parents leveraged their house into 250 Mil. They are trading on margin.

Now, you think I am making this up, but there is a lot of truth to it. Entire bail is not posted- if he runs, then the government will collect (in theory) 250 Mil, not just his parents house. Of course, this is laughable because they will never collect the 250 Mil as it does not exist.

Unless by chance SBF is hiding 250 mill somewhere in the Cayman islands AND the government finds it...

I know if you get a bail bondsman you can put up 10% and the BB guarantees the rest. Someone posted that the parent's house was worth $4M, so how does that get leveraged into 250M or even 25M? Can I do that? Where will the gov't collect 250M if someone hasn't pledged collateral worth that? I'm not saying I don't believe you, just that there's some missing info here.

It doesn't. That's why, if SBF runs, the most the government will get is his parent's house, + do possible wage garnishment on SBF and his parents for as long as they live.

There may have been some undisclosed others behind the scenes, but generally you don't have to post the whole bail requirement. Just a small fraction.
