Series 57

I'm looking at T3 and I need to take the Series 57 also so I'm looking at study materials too. I was looking at Securities Exchange of Amercia but I'm hearing mixed reviews about their materials and level of support, will probably go with Knopman or STC.

Was the PassPerfect Material up to standard?

If you did follow your path to T3, how is it's culture, was it as expected or are you in conflict?

I decided to trade futures instead of trying to get back into trading stocks with a prop group. I traded at WTS in the past and I got my 56 to get in.

PassPerfect was great for the Series 56 so the same could probably be said for their 57 guide.

I have no idea what the culture is like at T3. If I decided to trade stocks again then I would go with T3. I would trade remotely so the NY based office culture there would not have much bearing with me. If you live in New York then you should just pop in the office there to get a feel for the culture there.

I think T3 has some type of chat room for its traders. They also have audio of their office in NY as well as audio in their chat rooms I believe. When I was at WTS I traded remotely and never really was in contact with any other WTS traders while I was trading. I think T3 gives you a chance to be part of a group and not go it alone.

Yes, I already visited them to do some recon.

I trade my own small acct, and would rather join a team to learn and bounce ideas off each other. I'm also based in NY and enjoy leaving the house and "going to work".

Focused on the Series 57 now. Will look into PassPerfect.
 
No problem. T3 probably offers free Series 57 training. Even if you don't need the class you can probably run into a few people who have failed the test. You might be able to pick up a few insights from those that have already taken it. You will probably find that those who have failed the test never really studied hard or memorized anything. I am not saying you should emulate their behavior but they might remember a few test questions. When I was at WTS I took an online test prep class remotely online with other people. I managed to talk to a few people who failed and they told me some of the test questions that they remembered. Break the exam material down into flash cards and just "drill and kill" until you memorize everything. My final piece of advice, it won't be cheap but just buy every exam guide out there...that is what I did.
