Seniors over 65 and gambling slot machines and 'investments'

why do people over 60 or seniors so interested in 'gambling' lotteries, slot machines.

I mean who cares about making money or getting rich at age 75?

The average age of death is now 85. used to be 75

I gather or presume it's past time rather than a making money venture?

BTW, gambling is for fools. especially in lotteries. and slot machines. the (Gods)odds are against you!
people still have to eat, enjoy life and pay medical expenses unless you want to government to pay all your expenses.

Man, you need to live a little. Of course, the odds are against you. Still, someone has to win it and you have to have a ticket to win. I only buy 1 ticket to Powerball or Mega Millions when the jackpots are $100 million or more until, the jackpot is hit! I got 3 numbers from Mega Millions once, and it paid just $7. However, the two numbers I missed was off by one or two numbers and the Mega Ball number was off one digit. Nothing is impossible in life. Why do I want to win? For my family. If I win, I can help my family who are struggling and give them a share of the winnings. To give some to a worth charity and to do things I could not afford to financially right now! If I win, money is not going to be a hindrance. Enjoy life!

Whatever interests or obsessions somebody has in their 40s will still be there when they are 75 or 90. Age deteriorates us physically+mentally but not our obsessions.
Is this true. ? Serious question. Just have to warn my wife. Thanks

people interest in life change as they age.

retired from the game.
