So the deal McConnell is negotiating requires Obama to...verify income levels of those getting insurance subsides. That's it. You mean they don't do that already? Oh yeah, unions get some sort of special tax break. Sweet. For them.

Now of course, this is totally unacceptable for the Tea Party guys. But the position they will be in is that Harry Reid and McConnell have just saved the country and who the fuck are you to stand in the way? Legitimate PR nightmare, courtesy of Mitch McConnell.

All they had to do was close ranks behind Ted Cruz, but that might mean they wouldn't be able to increase spending and sneak amnesty through.

I really can not believe what crooks these establishment republicans are.

They could have won.

Imagine if this went on to the election and the vote was about obamacare.

They would win back the senate.

now they have just caved so bad they could lose the house.

How they hell could they cave on Obamacare like this.

They are traitors... to our children and the future of this country.

The only (R) I voted for in 2012 was Romney, for obvious reasons. I will not vote for another one.
 
its seems to me they are in collusion with democrats to provide the illusion of two parties but in realty they will do whatever they are told to do by the insurance companies. I really can not believe they are so easily purchased.

they are traitors... plain and simple if they go through with this after cruz showed them how to win.

I will be joining a new party if they go through with this.

My hope is that politico is making this up or exaggerating.
 
The only way their behavior makes any sense is that it is more important to them that Cruz loses. If he won, their whole world is threatened. They much prefer Obama win.

It is obvious if they all stood firm, Obama would have had no choice but to compromise. No way he compromises when they are busy selling out each other.

We have three parties now. Two are dedicated to endless spending of money we don't have and selling the country out. The third, the party of Cruz and the Pauls, is the only one thst speaks for us.

The third is the one I'll be voting for exclusively in the future.
 
The plan here is to have the democratic senate make a deal and then dare the republican led house to nix it i think. That way they can take what was an obviously idiotic argument that it was all republicans fault and make it plausible.

News this morning is that the House conservatives are not going along. No doubt that's why the markets are down.
