Meaningless. This is The United States of America, not The United Peoples of America. At some point you will realize that a President could be elected with 49 popular votes total (or less). Once you understand that, we'll all be better off.
I really dislike when democrats make this argument. The senate is not the house, it has a totally different purpose.
It’s important to remember all of the power the federa government has is actually derived from the states. In exchange the states are granted two senators as a check to the House (the people) and the president (the nation).
It would be smarter to argue to abolish the senate than to argue some states should have more senators.
I think this is one of the dumbest posts I've ever seen on ET and that's saying a lot. Totally meaningless metric.
The truth of the matter is that Senators should not be directly elected by the people but instead appointed by the state legislatures the way The Constitution originally stated. This was one of the ways that the states were represented in Congreff and had the voice that the folks in the states were entitled to.
Simmer down. NPCs hate it when people point out the Constitution after it leads to results they don't like.Wow, that is shocking. It's almost like the Constitution gives each state two senators or something.
