There is something to think about here.
It would be funnier than hell if the Republicans avoided calling Hunter, Joe, and the WhistleSpy just to keep the trial moving and satisfy the critics. But then after the trial or during the trial the Senate called all of them just as part of the oversight function of the Senate- foregn aid, corruption, whatever- and worked the over there.
The republicans dont need their testifmony to get an acquital but it does help their campaign and to defend the president's motives in poking his head under the tent in the Ukraine, so they can still go down the road outside of the trial.
Or not if they don't want to. Just sayin. The dems are not going to be on their turf after today so lots of games and strategies are possible.
The Democrats introduced a motion to dismiss in The Clinton Impeachment as well.
And Chucky voted for it.
Chucky also voted against having witnesses in the Clinton trial.
But we have the new and improved Chucky 2.0 now I guess.

McConnell shut Cryin' Chuck down pretty effectively and will not allow the Senate to do the work of the House. There will be opening arguments but then probably a straight up of down vote immediately thereafter. The whole thing is just a libel attempt and so the leftists want to stretch it out but apparently that will not be allowed.
Overall though, I am glad that the Idiot Dems showed who they are. We've always known this, but the rest of the country is able to see and can't ignore it now. ---Colossal screw up----
Yeh, give or take a little timewise.
The republicans want to probably let em ramble on a bit because they know that the dems are already poised to say in the general election that the pubs would not even hear the case. So, I suspect they will give them a little rope sufficient to be able to say that every senate member got to speak and have their say or something like that. Then BOOM!.
It's about creating and not creating general election narratives at this point.
Let the dems have their little fun for a bit. After that, the anxiety about what a bunch of losers they have for candidates will start to bite them very hard.
