Rand Paul is a purist and purists never really accomplish anything other than pointing out obvious flaws without ever giving any viable solutions for the REAL world. They're as bad as the leftist and their rose colored glasses. There's a reason he never got higher that two percent in the polls. He offers nothing that considers reality.

Pursuit of purity is a worthwhile endeavor in that it is easier to clean up a somewhat pure concoction than one that has every pragmatic solution dumped in it.

I hope the reason he did not do better in the polls is because he got himself slimed by working with McConnell. So Trump was able to steal his base.

If trump turns out to be establishment... he is going to have to watch out for massive defections from his base back to Paul.

I honestly believe if Trump does not stick with the anti establishment base... Paul could take him out in the primaries. Rand Paul is really looking like a leader lately.

Why waste time on a republican, just go whole hog libertarian. Trump is paving the way for the third party. I would bet close to 50% of college students would consider themselves libertarian if they knew what a libertarian was. But I like the airstrike, nip it in the bud, just don't leave a vacuum. Like I've said, Trump is picking up libertarian globalists right and left, like McStupid and his boy pal McGraham.

But I think for every two deplorables he picks up, he's going to lose three or four honorables.

He should check with Kelly Anne Conway but maybe he thinks he's positioned now, underneath the globalists, where he doesn't need to check polls now...like KillAllery didn't need to check.
