I've traded the ES option and although the spreads are better than the SPY or SPX options, I trade SPX over ES or SPY. Favorable tax treatment and cash settled (avoid being assigned early). I use a basic probability calculator, RSI, MCAD, little luck, elbow grease, and balls to setup my trades. On a closing note, think base hits not home runs. Best of luck to you.
