Russian moderator on a US site, huh?
Sign of things to come? :)

I rather like the idea. Russians historically have not taken a back seat to anybody when it comes to brains and spirit...

Recall in WWII.... After steamrolling most of Europe, Hitler thought he'd "just go knock off the Ruskies".... think again!! :D

Only in the "tall, blonde & blue with bit tits" sort of way..

No tall for this man. I like 'em short. Had plenty of tall ones but prefer the short ones. I'm 6'3". Me and a 4'10"-5'4" woman have lots of fun.

Heh...I'm not Russian by birth. I've lived in Russia, worked there, my wife is Russian (we met while I was there), my son is half-Russian (obviously). I speak Russian, have had Russian studies, and we (my wife and I) have owned and sold property there.

But I was born in the United States.

Hitler was stuck fighting a two front war....it was the US that turned the tide of battle in WWII...without us, the world as we know it would not exist today!

All true. (Just like we will be when we try to fight in Iraq and Packistan and.... we ARE "policeman to the world", you know....) Hitler thought the Russians would be a push over... WRONG...

It was actually the Russian winter that was more of an opponent. Having experienced that first hand, I get it. I really get it.

yes, sure... and USA is the one,who actually won the WW2(just like any other war).just like they said on history channel. try to tell this to any russian, when you meet one

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_casualties

compare the losses, to get an idea how small the second front was. and when USA joined the war.

Actually, any educated Russian will tell you that without the Lend-Lease assistance from the US (worth about $150 billions in today's dollars) the casualties would have been significantly higher.

Of course the timing of that assistance was rather suspiciously coincident with a fact that Nazi's were finally stopped in their tracks. US was obviously backing the winner in a fight.

The reason US joined the war was less to fight the Nazi's but more to stop Communism from taking over the entire Europe. A noble goal, and in hindsight the cold war was probably won on D-day. Who knows how things would turn out if Soviets reached the Normandy before the Allied troops got of their ass and finally invaded. It would be nice for history channel to tell the truth once in a while.
