Sell ATM CC on expiration day to dump stock?

I'm throwing in the towel on BRCM and want to sell ATM July 25 Call first thing in the morning to get paid to dump the stock. Am I just wasting my time with a move like this?

I'm sure if you do the math you will find it's cheaper to just sell the stock.

Unless it somehow recovers, the 25s will go out worthless, too, even if you can get something for them. You'll still likely be wearing the stock Monday.
