Maybe I underestimate how much people want to spend on submarines and the ability to invade any sovereign nation that we want for bogus reasons and wage long, expensive (in many ways), drawn-out wars that serve little or no good purpose.

if we cut out bogus wasteful liberal programs that serve no good purpose, we will save much more than cutting the constitutionally mandated military. As I said 5% GDP is not historically excessive, EVERYTHING ELSE has gone up by far more.

Secondly, stop pretending we don't pay payroll, corporate, excise, etc. taxes, it's really annoying. For many people they pay more payroll than income taxes.
