Seems that most of the stocks are nonshortable intraday

not much trouble shorting nasdaq stocks today although my broker wouldnt let us hold shorts overnight which i dont do anyways..

I'm using MBTrading, short order got rejected, can't even short X

So that's why small cap futures are up 5% pre-open. That and busting the short vol guys right in the lip. Pre-open action has brought about a quarter million IWM calls into play that were viewed as nearly worthless most of yesterday.

i have a strategy that trades the small caps and scans hundreds of them. it would be impractical for me to call and locate everyone of them.
