Seems Lot of ET members bought into Hype and Got crashed this week

I wanted opinion on Tesla and I was surprised how bullish most ET Members was on Tesla and other companies, some thought Tesla would be around $550-$750 soon.

This is a prove always do opposite what public think. Even i lost my convictions and liquited my short Positions at $445 and $407, else i could made some good money.

I have shorted 50 shares of Tesla at 407.00, do i hold or Short more ?

Do you want to be a trader? If so why are you asking for stock picks instead of discussing trading?

It always amuses (irks) me when "traders" do the Monday Morning Quarterbacking, for me its usually a big a tell that you have no idea wtf you are doing and either got lucky, or unlucky no skill what so ever was involved in the trade. no real trader should ever discuss a trade and say "i shouldve held, i shouldve sold",

So you were shorting the most volatile non-small cap stock in the market, if not in the past two decades of the market going into a big news announcement...if anyone cared and was worried about giving you the honest advice of, dude dont be ****ing stupid, instead of thanking them, now you are complaining that you "shouldve held". what would you be doing if it was trading at 1000 right now?

did you also listen to everyone that was shorting TSLA from 300 all the way to 2000?

you gotta lotta nerve mister.

trading can be real unforgiving, its not at all for people with the victim mindset. take responsibility for your actions and responsibility for your actions outcomes.

you gotta lotta nerve mister.

People shorted at around 1500 ( which is 300 now after split) . Not from 300 to 2000 ( actually 2500). You need to study Tesla chart again .

It is the dumbest retail traders that come to the ET message boards and ask for advise then, act like they know everything when, they have made a mess of their trades. They do not have a clue on what to do which is why they are asking in the first place. On top of that, they got attitude and arrogance. These are the traders the hedge funds chew on and spit out. Good luck with that. Added this pos to my blocked list.

I was actually trading TSLA when it was trading at 300 before the recent split, still remember the first time it "almost" hit 1000, I saw it drop 100 points in less than 5 minutes. but everyone and their pet dog were just sure it was going to 1000...
people have been shorting and longing TSLAs crazy runs a bit longer than the past few weeks but thanks, maybe Ill "study the chart again".

So maybe you have a lesson learned, maybe it is to next time try and have more conviction in your trades. and sure it was the members fault for not being psychic to give you better stock picks instead of offering you their actual opinions based on reality and not "what ifs"...
Im guessing the "what if" for you now is you wouldve covered here? Or you would still hold the short cause you "know" its going lower? You probably dont even know yourself so please no need to bother replying.

my last bit of advice, just because you win doesnt necessarily mean you made a good bet.

good luck, and addio

I posted in a private chat I shorted at $440 plus and covered yesterday at $368 AH. Only the YOLO option traders on Reddit have “Diamond Hands”, not Elite! Never thought it was correct shorting strength, I shorted once it failed $450 yesterday.

Food for thought. In the dot com bull Nortel was a mega cap tech darling, widely held much like the FANG stocks are now.

What could go wrong? It's print today $0.001 cents, volume 0. Bubbles tend to pop at some point.

What a nice chart and what a great opportunity around 99 to 01.
There must be thousands of people earning millions of money trading it.

No, there were thousands who became paper millionaires on borrowed money (or margin), failed to acknowledge the declines when it started, and went bankrupt afterwards because they could not repay!
