Well, yer gonna' face the ignore/block nonsense here as well unfortunately. Just need to know how to navigate it. Don't consider it a reason to "leave a forum".
I left it only because I needed a break. I was one of three moderators, but we don’t moderate much, made a conscious decision. It’s a Financial Advisors forum, I’m a retired advisor, this one suits my needs better. Plus this one has a block feature, my other one doesn’t LOL
What do financial advisors argue about? I thought you all went to the same school.
LOLOL. We argue in a section called “the Water Cooler” in a sub forum called “Politics and Covid” (they’ve become the same thing). It gets pretty horrible lol. And sometimes we argue about active vs passive in the Investments section.
I've advocated for years for a "mudpit" section here on ET on and off, but Baron won't do it. A place for people to let off steam about how they feel about each other. A closed section where only people invited to it can participate, but everyone can view-only.
Seems it would be too much administrative work, and the forum's structure would not support it.
Alas.
Better off without it. It takes the focus away from why we come here.
