Seeking candidates having a track record of one year with a PnL of ~100 million USD

That is an interesting job posting as they want you to come to the firm with your alpha generating strategy that has made 100 million. But to be hired with your strategy, that means you would have to own the IP, thus you are not currently a hired gun, therefor, why would you join this firm? What am I missing here?
Someone in charge of 50m+ in revenue is primarily a manager, so his IP is secondary to his connections (or, if it's a team move, to his team). In any case, this one is primarily a discretionary macro strategy as you can see from the description (also, I think I saw this before and know the firm that hiring).

PS. This said, many senior PMs own their IP and negotiate that aspect as part of their package.

what a nightmare to be a senior PM and live in Manhattan. that place is a dumpground and the people are awful. used to work for one, very stressed and unhappy people
Like everything, it's in the eye of the beholder. I love the NYC (well, loved what it was before Cuomo and DeBlasio fucked it up) and can hardly imagine any other city that would suit me. On the other hand, nobody prevents the guy in question from living in the burbs.

Right, as if a trader that made a billion wants to work for a paycheck for some real dim wits that put weighting on the stupid sharpe ratio.

I don't think it was a job offer for a retail trader. In contrast, looked like it was something for someone employed at a financial institution firm and wanted to change jobs to another firm.

If someone’s PnL is more than 100 million USD, why need to work for someone and listen to someone? For fun?
It for a PM at a hedge fund. If he made a $100m, he would probably take home 5-6 (the total team share would be ~10%, he'd pay his guys and the leftovers would be his). While it's a nice chunk of change, most people would want more and want to make this every year.
