SEASON 2, thursday TV WALLSTREET WARRIORS

Longhorns, how do you know Alex from season 1 is not a real trader? Also, SNDK actually did well - up over 40% after the shoot. I don't know if they scaled out of their positions, but it was a decent call. As a former FA, I don't believe in only having a few "good ideas" a year and banking your entire future on it - those guys are essentially gambling.

Hi 4x,

I wasn't talking about Alex (actually forgot he was even on the show).

How could SNDK have been up 40% if they were buying in May, June, and July?

right, these fellas lost their shirts and their clients' as well.!!

NYU Stern graduation was the 1st week of May and SNDK was trading somewhere in the low 40s and eventually went up to about 60. So, overall, I can't fault them, that was a good call.

Brett and the FJOC traders seem like the only serious ones on the show. The girl is cute but a joke considering she went to school for 4 years only to start at an entry level job knowing NOTHING about the business....

GMAN staring at her resume for 10 minutes only to ask a series or random questions....?? retarded.

So they were buying in April and May at an average of roughly 43 and over the next few months SNDK traded up to a high of 59 (but mostly in a range of 50 to 56).

They already said they "only have 5 or 6 great ideas each year and SNDK was their best idea." They were quoted as saying their whole business basically rests on SNDK.

The Nasdaq rallied roughly 10% from April to mid July. SNDK rallied about 25%. I highly doubt they were unloading their "best idea" after such a short time period when the market was rallying so strongly.

I guess we won't know for sure, but if I was making odds on it I think there are a lot of SNDK bagholders in that firm.

Don't those "tools" know that phones are so last century. Everyone uses fax's and email for hot stock picks nowadays. I get all my best broker recommendations by fax & email :p

Yeah...I think those two guys watched Boiler Room a few too many times. Their who schpiel is basically the script from the movie. I loved the clerk/assistant who said he was buying huge blocks for all his clients. Too funny.

Actually its the other way around. The movie script used stock pitches that have been around forever. Some of the lines were terrible in 1997 and still were in 2007.
Man, some of those guys have the worst pitch ever.

Any Stratton Oakmont alum here? :) word!
