I was a radio-operator (marine-band). One thing led to another and I was "coaxed" out a 2nd story window. Apparently I landed right-foot first and rebar severed my achilles. I was 5 months in rehab. My foot was literally at a right angle. Think "Misery" scene with James Caan.

I'm good. I can run a couple miles before it swells. Did 14 miles in Yosemite and it swelled so bad that I had to cut the Zamberlan hiking boot.
