This is something that is long overdue. In some stadiums, you literally take your life in your hands if you wear opposing team colors. At the very least you can expect a barrage of insults and profanity and probably a beer dousing, although considering the price of brews, that is hurting the douser more than the dousee.

Seriously, many stadiums have become unpleasant places to go if not outright dangerous. Too many drunks, too many jerks, not enough security. One good start might be to curtail a game day ritual, the all day tailgate party. Fans are dead drunk by the time they stagger into the stadium.

Who in their right mind would take a child to an Eagles game or a Raiders game?
 
With the quality of the tv's today, I'm hard pressed to drive two miles to the beach, no less go to an NFL game. Lol! Friend of mine bought a new Samsung that's so real (I almost say "better than real"), I catch myself stopping to stare at a simple commercial.
I'm not held back by the thugs, and went to a few NFL games with my Son, but do admit, it gets old spending a decent amount of $ for a day of dodging $14 .32 oz draft beers being spilt on me from every angle. And from my more recent past, keeping the .32 oz beers out of my hands, lol. As for the cops in WI doing this, our home "NFL cops" did this way back. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a swat team somewhere in the stadium, and I'm not kidding.. We'll have a guaranteed shooting, and/or murder(s) within hours of the game ending.
 
I'm not and never will be a spectator sports fan.

I can't fathom why anyone would pay absurd ticket prices to stand in line to sit in uncomfortable seats. Surrounded by loudmouth drunks watching over paid arrogant Prima donnas, they don't even know. Play a game the outcome of which has no intrinsic effect on their lives whatsoever. Especially if you could watch it on TV for free or a fraction of the ticket price.

But that's just me.
 
I have to admit I've gotten more and more like this myself. Absurd prices going to billionaire owners getting massive amounts of welfare from financially strapped cities and jerk players making millions whose alternative career would be bar bouncer or prison. Then there is the traffic and dickhead fans.

Just to clarify I didn't mean to come across as poo pooing on anyone's chosen hobby/entertainment.
I was just explaining why I don't understand the attraction.
But then I can't see the attraction to "reality" tv or high price theater tickets for mostly lousy movies either.

So it's probably just me.
 
NFL game near me:

$30 to park and walk; $25 if lucky; $20 means walking quite the distance, and better stick with a large group. Btw, Stadium parking is outrageous. Don't ask.

$$$ for tickets. If bought from a scalper, 50/50% chance you get to the turnstiles, finding the tickets were fakes. Go find him? Good luck! His other inner city friends are doing the same thing, and btw, they KNOW you're unarmed going to the game.

Metal detector, empty pockets, not even a mini leatherman multi tool on a keychain allowed. (Yeah, I should have told my Son and his friends we were leaving, I was so fumed! All of us had to walk back to the car as I wasn't taking it off my keychain, and throwing away, even though $25-the price of parking to begin with!:mad:)

Once in, put wallet in front pocket, and of course, not your pocket you stashed $100 in, in case robbed, or wallet snatched (don't try to catch the guy with your wallet. Chances are he could run a 4/40, in addition to what his friends would do to you for daring chase him. In their eyes, you deserve to be stolen from.)

Make a serious effort to wade through drunken weekend warriors; trying to get around the fat asses who have that "fuck you, outta MY way" attitude blocking up the walkways, and aisles; having to turn sideways quickly, as the inner city kids WILL slam shoulders into you-not willing to move an inch, as they were taught to hate other skin colors.

Son wants a small drink, SMALL wings and fries.. Ok, $26. His friends who "forgot" $-and I have a heart-$200. For those of you who are "normies," $12 for a can of beer, and $14 for a large. After the ankle grab experience at concession, I at least grab a ton of napkins. This is to wipe the spilled beer from the kid's seats, and mine before sitting down.

Ok, now we're at the tunnel where our seats are, and what is my view? Yes, great big rude, nasty, fat ass fuck you" types, standing up AT EVERY PLAY, meaning their chewed bubble gum asses just became "my football game!!":mad:And NO, they won't sit down if asked.:mad:They KNOW you won't physically "help" them move their fat asses, as there are cops everywhere the head can be turned.

Since the cops won't make the new and improved assholes move, we move from our lower level seats, and go up high. Yes, I do bring a pair of Steiner's, and hand them across to my Son's friends so THEY CAN WATCH A FUCKING GAME I'VE GOT $500+ IN!!!!!

I've agreed to ONE college game this year, but after that:

And I didn't even voice an opinion except here, complaining about big fat asses an inch from my face, and vowing to never go to another game, which I haven't (only go to see other real teams anyway, lol!)

The above link made national news. Pretty sad, people are this fucked up, it takes this to get them to out their fat ass holes in the seats.:mad:
