The plaintiffs are claiming harvard and unc (private and public) both get federal funds via grants and scholarships and aid so they are using that hook to make it a SC case. (for Harvard, UNC is a State university so falls under 14th A).

What I find funny is the Supreme Court existed for more than 150 years while Blacks were excluded from UNC, a public university and it was ok for the school to take race into account using a quota (ZERO Blacks), now conservatives complain that it is unfair to do so.

First Black Undergraduates admitted 1955

Zero complaints from Whites about race based system in that time period: ZERO

Also UNC White, non hispanic students in total undergrad: 55%

White students are suing because they are..... underrepresented?
I think in 2020 White, non-hispanics were 58% of the population?

Conservative reublican groups are the ones suing to undue the diversity measures... so if I follow your logic, republicans are trying their best to change the diversity of campuses.
 
What’s left of affirmative action is going down in a straight 6-3 vote. The only question is how expansive of a ruling(s) will this be.

It is a good hypothetical where the conservative group making the complaint will tell you race should not be considered at all but is complaining because they want a more of a preference for their race....

NC has a pretty well balanced undergraduate class and whites are well over 50% of the group. Not sure what they are suing over.

At Harvard which I believe is a suit brought by Asians, they are whining even though Asians make up 22% of the class which is almost double their representation in the population.

Plaintiffs are just whining bitches who cannot accept they were rejected and want to blame it on something and race is all they have...

Here is some really ignorant shit coming out of Justice Thomas' mouth about UNC.... I respect all the judges con or lib but Thomas has gone full fucktard lately putting politics before the law. He literally makes an argument for separate but equal since diverse backgrounds in a learning environment are meaningless to him.

Thomas pushed back on that assessment by pointing to his own experience: "I didn't go to racially diverse schools, but there were educational benefits."

I'd like you to tell me expressly when a parent sends a kid to college, they don't necessarily send them there to have fun or feel good or anything like that," Thomas said. "They send them there to learn physics or chemistry or whatever they're studying."


So according to Clarence its ok to have an all white school becasue they are just there to study a subject...business majors dont need to understand how to work in diverse settings, ideas or deal with people with diverse backgrounds....Clarence imposing his personal view of non diverse education huh...whitey got his feelings hurt even though they are still majority of.acceptances at UNC.
