SCOTUS thread

A lot of things have changed since many Dems went on record opposing expanding the court such as Roe being overturned. Please do update us on what Dems still oppose expanding the court since The Roe decision as they wont be getting my vote or donation.

Why do I have to update, you showed the bill, show me new support for it.

Whats the point of having majorities in Congress to do it if the President wont sign it into law?

West wont win,we all know that.West is our way telling The Dem party they wont be getting our votes unless they move to left and support issues like expanding the court.

Biden said he won't sign court expansion bill if it passed? Source?

So first the Green Party ensured 6-3 conservative majority and now they promise to put more conservatives in court?

Ill post it when relevant. As long as there is a Dem president that doesn't support its irrelevant.

Even your progs don't support it, it's stupid to 'support' something controversial which has zero chance of passing.

Cornel West can pretend to support it since he knows he will never be elected for anything.

1.He said he didn't support it.

1.If Dems don't support expanding it,yes.

Many progs do support it,and many who didn't might change their mind after recent events. If Dems still dont support expanding it than fuck it,let The GOP keep it.

Some Dems will change their opinion due to recent SC decisions, not Biden though.

You need to stop pipe dreaming like exGOPer did in his posts about court packing, SCOTUS impeachment, and statehood granting (and in honesty I've done the same either in trolling or seriousness). Perpetual weak spine dems will not do something that can impact the donor class, they don't represent the people. This should've been obvious months into the presidency. They will as quickly turn antidemocratic to keep progs out as repugs did on dems. This will remain the status quo until money's out of politics or there's violent revolution. You need to get used to the idea you will not see the country you want in your lifetime, that ship has sailed. Progs focus needs to be to keep primarying every dem. and winning local races. A third party vote may be a chivalrous gesture, but you have to understand it's meaningless in our system until something like ranked choice is implemented. You cannot shame dems into shifting position unless it's over self-survival.

We need a couple more states to join the national popular vote interstate compact. Then all the things you guys want to see will have better odds of happening. If the GOP remains in control of evangelicals, criminals and terrorists we could see a blue wave across both houses and the White House.

Again, voting for West is our message to Dems if you don't expand the court you wont get progs votes.

Ya, all that message sending to Gore, Kerry and Hillary is why we have 6-3 majorities.

Make sure its 8-1 because sending messages is more important.
