There is precedent.Andrew Jackson told them you've made your ruling now lets see you enforce it.
Dems could take the court for the 100 years or more with The WH and simple majorities in Congress,which they had just last year, by adding Justices and making DC and the territories states but the pathetic democrat party wouldn't even consider it.
