Scottrader quotes for the first half hour, or longer, if the market is busy, are slow as hell.


And, they won't admit their problem. They tell you to update your java. (it's already update)

I'm starting to really despise these people.

From what I have read in various places, it seems that when volume spikes up, Scottrade and TD-Ameritrade both get real slow.

Sounds like they don't have enough servers/computing power to handle the volume spike. I do not have an account at either firm, so I can't confirm this.
