Scots Can Vote To Leave The UK, Why Can't We?

if you wish to talk about corporate welfare... the list starts with banks bailouts wallstreet and the federal reserve itself. All big democrat contributors. Historically the dems and the fed have been in bed.

There is plenty of corporate welfare that the U.S. can get rid of also. The first place to start would be farm subsidies. The entire federal program should be converted so it is solely focused on crop insurance - and not on payouts for not even growing crops, or additional money for successfully growing crops (which mainly goes to large agri-farm companies).

There has been bipartisan support in North Carolina at the federal, state, and local level opposed to expanding any existing military bases or opening new ones in our state for over three decades. Even military veterans (we have many of them) are opposed to new or expanded bases in our state. The military footprint in our state is already too heavy; we would welcome moving any of these installations to the Northeast states.

You're wrong but just in case let me put in a good word for sending them to Texas and New Mexico.

I agree with what you said, but dont fall into the liberal trap of conflating welfare with TARP, lets be real clear here, on top of paying taxes, and producing something of value, and creating jobs, banks paid back the money which was loaned to them, it is such a joke when liberals try to compare the leeches who provide nothing to society, with businesses who get loans/tax breaks from the government, in one instance people are loaned money, or they are being allowed to keep more of the money THAT THEY THEMSELVES EARNED. In the other instance, people are being handed money from the government for doing jackshit and producing nothing of value to society.

I am no fan of banks, and i think everyone should pay an equal amount of taxes but lets be realistic there is no comparison between welfare and government loans/subsidies/tax breaks to businesses who provide value to society.

Really ?

Yes, you and the rest of your commie buddies need to get the facts straight i pay way more than my "fair share" in taxes, and i pay a much higher rate, flat tax is the way to go, every person who wants the luxury of modern society should be willing to pay for it, instead of trying to get freebies off of suckers like me.
