OK, Whatever that means.
It is always risky to make predictions, especially about the future, as Yogi Berra pointed out. But here is a prediction I am quite confident of. AOC will be President within your lifetime. My risk here is not so much that AOC will not be President, but rather the chance I'm taking on your age.
It is not so bizarre, when you think about it, that people prefer cardboard over a Jackass.

for someone who claims to be critical of anti-science republican leaders such as DeSantis and trump, you consistently do a lot of acrobatics to defend their indefensible acts.

Ok, so you still don't want to answer what "acts" of DeSantis or Trump I explicitly support. I'm waiting.
Also, please show the source where DeSantis said mask mandates don't work. I believe what he said is they aren't enforceable. This is true. They aren't. If he said wearing a mask is not effective, I will ardently disagree (despite the fact that many European countries say they are not effective).
