Science vs Republicans

Why is that disingenuous? Public courthouses and government buildings are exactly where government has a say. And in those places the Republican governor blackmails counties because they are insisting on masks.

How are you able to defend this stupidity?

Its disingenuous because you don't give the whole story, you just make it sound like the governor is canceling any funding to any counties that have any policies requiring a mask anywhere. And you don't offer up the governor's reason at all.

You don't have to agree with the governor's decision, and I'm not sure I do either. But he has a job to provide services to all citizens. He doesn't agree with your assessment of the risk and that this risk should outweigh the responsibility to provide service to people if they do not wear a mask. There's an answer to this. Citizens can vote him out if they agree with your assessment.

You did. That's why I aid "a bit disingenuous", because most folks around here don't read links unfortunately. They leap to opinions based on the post.

As for being stupid, etc....as usual, people on the left thinking they have the moral high ground simply because others don't see things the way they do. I'm OK with being underestimated.

Ah, there's the rub. You believe (correct me if I am wrong) wholeheartedly in the science. Many people, including myself, don't believe the science is proven across the board in much of this. We are more suspicious having seen the desire and evidence of political narratives shaping the data. So we're naturally going to have issues with being told what to do because of data we aren't convinced is real.

The difference is that I don't believe you are stupid because you believe in it, and I don't have issues with you wearing a mask. I'm not telling you to stay in your house or to not stay in your house, and it doesn't really matter to me how scared you are. You, however, are telling me what I can and cannot do. You are telling me what I have to wear, and when I don't agree with you, you are calling me stupid.

There's a big difference there.

Science by definition is essentially the best we know with the expertise we have. Yes, some times they will be wrong. That is the nature of science.

Republicans are blindly arguing against science, including accusing that folks like Anthony Fauci are somehow left wing conspiracy theorists.

Republican politicians are arguing against masks. That is plain stupid. This Republican stupidity kills people. That is a fact. I believe that people who argue against masks are stupid.
 
There are more stupidity on the left. And more dangerous also.

Example:
Open borders - criminals freely coming in and destroying the communities and committing murders.
Equality of outcome - Disincentivize innovation, business, etc.
Sanctuary cities - Protecting criminal aliens.
Defund the police - no police, no public safety.
BLM and Antifa - Resort to violence and riots.
Diversity hire - Hiring a person based on gender and skin color instead of merit.
List goes on.
