Science-oriented education in primary school

Lack of things to do in Toronto ?

I'm a little confused because I thought you were talking about Québec when you said the following...

Currently leaning towards Quebec Canada. Any thoughts?

i was indeed, until i found the private schools there really expensive (2x expected). changed my mind to spain/france/china. germany/japan/singapore etc are strong but i dont intend my kid to learn their useless languages. i am disgusted of japan socialism and people, dont want a kid to absorb any of it.
 
Seems like the issue isn't really about science/math or that its not really the priority as you made it seem like in your thread title & initial message post.

Thus, its more about how pleasing the language is to your needs, the weather and activity to your needs and anything else that you have a bias about.

Regardless, its your kid...good luck.

P.S. Research the education system more deeply in France/Spain as in find someone (parent) that currently living there and have children in the education system. There's huge differences within the countries from one part of the country to another part of the country.

Canada has world leading education system and is capitalistic enough. Outside of that, you're looking at Scandinavia, France, Switzerland, or Germany. China and Korea have ridiculously high standards in math and science to the detriment of a children's development I'd say.

There are obviously pockets in the US but you're looking at high standards of living. Outside of these pockets and/or private institutions, you're looking at 3rd world education in the US.
 
canada is okay which is where i got my secondary/college education from. I went to a "top" canadian college and found the professors to be strong, but given it is canada, the student body is kinda weak and i met countless dumb kids (including my wife) there.

I am leaning towards the IB programme and/or british system, so should be able to relocate between countries easily as many private schools adopt the same curricula. Quebec/Ontario/Madrid/Paris/Hong Kong are on my rotation list. Should allow to pick up english/mandarin/spanish/french. I won't let him learn cantonese which I seldom use myself and wife can teach basic japanese at home. I will home-teach him calculus/algebra/probability from around 10 and he will model options with me from 14ish
