I doubt it but I will always support ending the filibuster no matter who is in power.
Both parties are scared to go first because they are worried about election consequences and criticism from the party out of power. People really think the filibuster is some sort constitutional mandate or treat it like it’s what makes the senate the senate but neither is true.
The filibuster has turned into a corporate veto over the will of the people and the states. It is bought and paid for on issues ranging from overpriced drugs to private prisons. It needs to go.
Agreed about those, but eliminating the filibuster could backfire. There's a lot of tradition behind it.

If the Republicans take the Senate in the midterm elections, anything the Democrats pass illegally thru abolishing the filibuster, they can just override and replace. Then, all bills Republicans can just pass without even consulting or getting input from Democrats without a filibuster to stop them. You want that extreme liberal idiots, including, ET trolls?
Lots of things could backfire. It’s not like the filibuster is good for anything as is besides stopping the will of the American people.
Look we know for a fact legislation is not moving for important things like drug prices etc and yes it would make passing laws easier you and I may not like but the key here is the constitution says a majority of the senate is needed to pass a law. That’s all it should be. If a law doesn’t work then the people will vote the bums out to repeal the law and repealing the law will be easy because THERE IS NO FILIBUSTER.
There should not be a corporate buyout option to the will of the American people.
