I keep encountering this term around here and wonder if I'm misinterpreting it. I always thought scalping was pretty much a "Boiler Room" tactic permeating the Vancouver Exchange, yet some people tend to mention it so casually I figure either:
A) I am misinterpreting what they're saying
B) The terminology has changed and it means something different than it used to
C) There may be a difference between "scalping" and "scalps" I'm missing
Considering I'm just learning all this and my most available reference is a 20 year old copy of "The Words Of Wall Street", I'd appreciate if someone could clarify.
