Why would he do that? A performance summary would be a BACKTEST, and we can't have that! They guy is smoking some strong stuff if he thinks traders will fall for bs like that. Doesn't matter if you're a discretionary trader or an algorithmic trader. Everyone backtests to some degree or they're just throwing mud at the wall hoping that some will stick.
The whole scenario is ridiculous.

Not a back-test, but a broker statement or performance summary of live trading.

Mickey Mouse is always angry and agitated. He blocked me because I asked some basic questions about his ridiculous algorithm.

Algo is such a silly buzz word anyway. Like you know something just because you made a cute little algorithm.

Programming/coding is just a tool and the puzzle of the market will never be solved by programming alone. If so, every programmer would be rich.

I was going to stay silent on this issue but after the recent posts in this thread, I thought it would be best to speak out.

I leased algo from OP earlier this year and unfortunately the real time signals are very inaccurate. The signals come up very different in real time vs the strategy performance reports. For example, I would have real time losing signals and then if I reloaded that same chart, the chart would omit the failed trades.

When I asked OP, he said there would be losers and he doesn’t take every trade. He then claimed he trades a certain way based off of support, resistance, etc….
However, I leased the algo with the understanding that it would be profitable from manually following the entry & exit signals.

The strategy performance reports are a joke. I was a sucker and fell for it in zoom session because most trades worked considering its scalping and if you’re risking 50 ticks to make 4, etc… the odds are most trades will work. At the time, I didn’t know backtests could be painted.

I thought would be best to just take a loss and move on but felt I should post after the recent activity in this thread. Hopefully this can prevent someone else from getting scammed.

I have receipts but am not looking to get into a game of semantics. If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM.

The biggest mistake here is OP attempting to be benevolent at a circus.

The fact is, the OP CLAIMED his algo works, yet hasn't shown any live result. Period.
Since when asking proof became a circus?

Every trading algo I program and code is purely for back testing purposes so I can see if I can make money by running it live with real money.

If I can not back test an algo I program, I will retire from trading because the only purpose of trading is to find edge, and then get filthy rich instantly.

When you claim something, YOU are responsible to establish a proof not me.
Especially when your claim seems there could be possibilities of flaws.

Yeah, well I will admit it's daft claiming anything regarding algos, for starters, should it be profitable and different, no one will understand it.
There is a better chance surviving getting gunned down in Ukraine than there is on ET trying to stick your neck out.

As traders on ET there is some inherent responsibility on what we post on these forums. If a trader post algo performance results repeatedly here for 1000s of traders to see, then that trader is responsible for answering curious trader questions about the performance. If the trader who post the algo performance results refuses to answer these questions, than that trader deserves to recieve whatever harsh or nice comments the 1000s of traders post.

This is called being responsible for your actions.

For example, I can not go to a bunch of drug dealers, saying I have 1000 of kilos of cocaine for sell for $1000 per Kilo, which is cheaper price then what they paying for. However, when the drug dealers start asking me questions about my coke and prices, I refuse to not answer them. Well guess what? 9 times out of 10, I am about to get my black ass kicked or killed. I DESERVE to get my black ass kicked or killed for not being responsible about my actions.

In short, if you do not want nobody fucking with you, stop fucking with people. And posting algo performance and refusing to provide information about that performance is fucking with and teasing traders. I can understand 1 tease or a few tease, but the OP constantly keeps posting teasers algo performance, and not answer questions. And eventually those traders asking questions will get mad and that is exactly what is happening here.

I hunt deer 2 times per year, and deer are the smart animals to kill. Deer KNOW they are being hunted.

Us retail traders, are just like Deer, we know there are traders/sellers/fake-gurus hunting us to steal our time/trading-passion/energy/money by giving us unverifiable trading instructions/guidance and going down 1000 rabbit holes.

If you do not want no smoke, do not start no fires.

The OP *NEEDS* to do nothing.

AFAIK, he has offered Skype as a means to answer specific questions.
In addition, he has made it clear he is NOT looking for clients/customers.

If VST is promoting his Skype, Zoom, etc sessions to bait and switch then yes, he would be a scammer in MY book. Nothing has been posted to indicate that is the case.




Noone suggested "age" gets a free pass, nor does it provide any type of trading longevity.
The fact is, VST is an ET old timer, and he is still posting ON TOPIC! (re: trading). This thread started in 2006 fwiw.
