I will sometimes do a Scalp_Trend combination - say if I trade 5 contracts - I would take 3 or 4 off at One or Two Ticks - then move my Stop to BreakEven - and let the remaining contract run - or Stop Out at BreakEven. I prefer in and out - Fast. See the pictures attached from yesterday. Just took one trade - took 53 seconds - usually much less than that - but still okay. I didn't trade at all this morning - getting ready for Thanksgiving - doing what my lady tells me to do.

I was busy yesterday - so just took that one trade. I have income from clients also - so I really don't need to trade. I am very serious though - I think trading really helps keep my brain going - lol. At my age - my real goal - is just to wake up in the morning - and if I do - I am a winner - lol.

By the way - I only drink Frappuccinos from Starbucks - don't taste the coffee as much.

Wait a minute....you were scalping using a remote, WIRELESS connection ?
Omigosh, in this day and age of co-located servers, that has got to be insanely risky....or at least profit-reducing.
I have a high speed Comcast connection, a 1 gigabit ARIS router, and CAT-6 wired connections...running at 800 mbps.
I wouldn't consider anything less than this set-up for scalping. Swinging ? Then no problem.
Note: I can't even get my wireless printer to work half the time....I am constantly resetting the connection...LOL.
 
Could you record the webinar and send it via email or something? I will be working so I won’t be able to make it, but I’m interested to see it!

Back in the day ...many moons ago ...in Honduras and Mexico the internet coffee shops were not wireless but you had cubicles hard wired to the internet. At the time I had my own software for trading that I had developed myself and had programmed up by a programmer. I would just load it onto one of the machines in the coffee shop and run it from there, trading. However way back then the internet was even slower hard wired than the wireless internet nowadays. But I still was able to scalp using level 2.

Things have changed. I now travel a lot. I can’t have such a setup as yours while running around in the motorhome or other vehicle. Now-days I scalp off cell phone or IPad hotspot to computer or Ipad if my wife is driving. Since I am scalping 1 to 8 points (which is usually the case) most of the time wireless is not a problem. I call it manual HFT ..ROFLMAO. I can literally scalp while the wife is driving 70 MPH down the interstate. I usually scalp with limit orders and use OCO brackets so if I lose signal for a few minutes it isn’t a problem.

Many years ago - I used Tradestation - and in the TS Forum - I had a thread about Scalping off the DOM. If there is anyone interested - and they have TS - go into the forum - look up VSTscalper (if I recall correctly) - I would think the tread is still there - but with no activity. I do not have access to TS anymore - haven't for years.

I absolutely loved Scalping off the DOM - it was Fast - and actually Fun to do. While I still do a lot of Scalping - I no longer Scalp that way - but hopefully - it will help some traders.
 
It is now - approximately 3:30 pm PST - at 5:30 pm PST - I will do a Webinar - on Zoom - and the Webinar - will last for up to 2 hours - depending on if there is any interest from traders.

If you are like I was - back in my early trading days - I struggled and most of the time LOST money - when the market went Sideways. As with most traders - I waited for the BreakOut - and quite often - I would enter the trade - only to find it was a FakeOut - NOT a BreakOut. I started printing charts out everyday - and focused on where I was losing money - the BreakOut_FakeOut. Eventually - I saw a Pattern - made some Strict Rules to FOLLOW - to help me tell the difference between a BreakOut and a FakeOut and it did help tremendously. I would draw a box - or a Range Box - and I called this my Range Condition (RC). Sometimes the RC would last an hour or more - just waiting for the BreakOut. One day - my little brain said - what if I draw a CenterLine on the Range Box - could there be potential Scalp trades - that I am missing. And WOW - that totally changed everything for me - now I was making money - INSIDE the RC - while waiting for the BreakOut. Sometimes - I would make my Net Daily Goal - INSIDE the RC - and be done trading for the day.

During the Webinar - I will go over the charts - where I have already drawn the Range Box. You may be very surprised on how many great trades are available during the RC.
