It will depends of what is risky for you. If you trade 5 dollars in forex, and you lose, you will have the experience anyway. But if you do the same operation, with 2 millions dollar, definitely is very risky. No only for you, but for everybody.

For scalpers, this is an addictive trading strategy, they can work in London overlapping new york sessions as the busiest market, working about two or four hours for scalping may generate good trading results.

The truth is that it doesn't work that way, and if you want to start trading forex, then forget about scalping until you have a solid understanding of how the market works and have gained some good experience in trading, technical analysis, and risk management.
 
sometimes i feel any kind of trading approaches can be unhealthy if there is no powerful trading plan with powerful money management.
 
If you don’t know what you are doing, not just scalping but every trading style is difficult. But when you know what you are doing, even scalping seems easy. It’s true that you can lose money quickly with scalping but we see the other side, you have equal chances of making profits. But don’t do it if you don’t have any idea about what it is and how you can use it to make profits. Try with simpler and long-term strategies before you sift to short term strategies like scalping.
 
The answer depends on how much experience you have in forex trading. I know some veteran traders who only do scalping. For them, the winning rate is exceptionally high though the profit margin is low. If you are experienced enough to judge the right time to enter and exit the market then scalping can be beneficial for you as well. But if you just aimlessly enter and exit the market choosing pairs without in-depth knowledge, you can be a victim to overtrading and higher commissions.
