Mr. Spock would be good at executions, but I don't know about creativity to design a system that works? McCoy or Scotty might be better at that. :)

aphex, just curious, why start out trading using the most difficult of all styles? Do you imagine that as your account gets larger, you will naturally progress into longer time frames? Sounds kinda backwards to me. 5k is plenty for longer-term intraday position trades -- why stick your hand in the blender before you've even stepped in the kitchen? Sorry if others have already pointed this out, I'm too lazy to read too far back :D

illiquid,

Until I go on the battlefield for real, I have no idea what is considered the more easier way to trade compared to the less easier way. All I know is that I do have one system that does a fairly good job of grabbing points here and there, but again this is on paper.

I will let you know when I start my journal if I still have an extra hand after a few days. :)

What I don't understand is -- if they know they have a system that can work, why get emotional?

I just don't understand that aspect of it.

You execute the "System", therefore you are part of the "System". System = Method+Money Management+Mind.

What you do not know can and will hurt you, but not as much as what you think you know. By the time you know that you really didn't know, you've begun to suffer the combined agonies of knowing and not knowing. (MY EXPERIENCE)

If one could only achieve the duality of

Knowledge is King

Ignorance is Bliss

This is beginning to sound like a trader.

Not long ago I confessed to a friend that I cannot contribute much to these boards because the more I go on with this game, the more I realize I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING.
