SCALPERS - why aren't you trading e-minis?

You don't need a whole screen to keep track of a few stock prices, lol.
Using "screen" as "I am screening with, not "CRT screen".

Exactly, and the funny thing is, if a stock comprises 10% of an index then it seems to lead the corresponding index future 10% of the time and be lead by it 90% of the time.

I would agree.

Metoox, I actually know only one Broker (ApexFuture), who offer a 1K daytrading margin for the e-minis.

No, there is a number of others, some of them are individually negotiated based on the type of trading you are doing; I think even IB offers that, better check on that though we don't trade there anymore, but I remember hearing or reading that.

I use a local broker and can trade the e-minis for under 1000. There are a few more where you can trade for 1100-1200. So there are a few.

I even actually trade the large contract 19,000, 2 contracts when my account was under 3000. Mistake the broker and I didn't catch. Too bad it was only a 2 point trade! So it really depends on broker relationship. Unless you use one of the big internet places.

Still going fine on the ACE only as is the $5. The $10 is RTH only.

I believe intra-day margins for IB es02m=$1,500.00

Do you guys really use full margin? (i.e. a $10,000.00 account and you are trading 6 e-mini contracts???)...Seems very overleveraged to me
