Wall St figured out that SBUX had written exactly no mortgages.
Beside the fact its off 30% from its Feb high, possibly people are anticipating that the large lay-offs during the coming recession will lead to an increase in SBUX sales as cafes are a favorite hang out for the unemployed.
Whenever you go to buckies in the middle of the day, didn't you realize who all of these people were. Besides the students, retirees, homemakers, ect..., you'd be amazed at how many unemployed people go to Starbucks. Cheers.
